Every day, situations appear around us that could matter right now, if only we knew about them in time.
A neighbour is giving away a crib, but her WhatsApp message scrolled away in minutes.

This information is out there, but it's scattered across chats, posts, local groups, and messages that scroll away in minutes. By the time you find it, the moment has usually passed. There's so much noise that the signal disappears.
A living map of real-world situations
UPTOMAP adds a new layer of visibility to the physical world. Situations that normally vanish inside chats become visible signals on a map, tied to a place and a moment.
Instead of searching through groups and messages, you simply open the map and see what's happening around you.
It runs in both directions. The neighbour giving away a stroller today is the one asking for a babysitter tomorrow, so everyone here is a source as often as a receiver. That's what makes the map fill in.

The map fills in one neighbourhood at a time
A map of situations is only useful when there are people on it, so UPTOMAP doesn't try to cover the whole world on day one.
We launch neighbourhood by neighbourhood, starting with focused pilots in active local communities. Each pilot reaches a critical mass of neighbours first, so that when you open the map, there's already something real to see. As a community grows, the map grows with it.
That's why the first step isn't a global launch: it's your street.
Before you ask
Is it free?
Yes. Everyday neighbourhood use is free. Options for businesses may come later, and they are not part of the pilots.
Is my exact location exposed?
No. A signal is shown at neighbourhood level — roughly the area it belongs to, never your address. An exact spot is shared only when you deliberately choose to, for instance with the one person you agreed to meet.
Who can see what I post?
You pick that per signal: everyone on the map, only people within about a kilometre, or only the circle you have approved. Nothing travels wider than you chose.
What if nobody answers?
Then the signal expires on its own and leaves the map. Nothing to remember, nothing to clean up, and nothing left lying around months later.
How is this different from a neighbourhood group chat?
A group sends everything to everyone, forever. Here every signal carries its own place, its own lifetime and its own audience, so what reaches you is what is still relevant to you.
Is it safe to post something involving children?
Post the situation, not the child. Narrow the audience to your trusted circle rather than the whole map, and let it expire. What is never allowed, and how to report it, is set out in our child safety standards.
The first pilots are live near you
We're building UpToMap one pilot at a time. Right now, moms in our first communities are giving away baby gear nearby, but that's just one use case. Most of UpToMap is public, so anyone can see what's around them, and everyone only ever sees what's relevant to them.
